BSA Mission Statement


The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Vision Statement of the Boy Scouts of America



The Boy Scouts of America will prepare every eligible youth in America to become a responsible, participating citizen and leader who is guided by the Scout Oath and Law.


 The Santa Fe Trail Council advance the vision by focusing energy, resources and attention in the following areas:


 *  Emphasize the aims of Scouting: building of character, participating citizenship,       and the development of physical, mental and emotional fitness in all that we do.


*   Extend the Scouting and Exploring program to as many partnering                             organizations as possible.


*  Engage active and fully trained adult leadership as appropriate role models for        participants.


*  Provide superior and safe facilities where this program can be delivered.


*  Offer Scouts and Explorers challenging fun and adventure that helps them reach      their potential.


*  Insure the total financial development of the Council to the best carry out our            Mission and Vision for the future.
